The Templeton Chamber of Commerce and the Templeton Historic Museum Society are presenting the annual Founder’s Day celebration on Sunday, November 16th from 11 am to 4 pm. This is the time that our community gathers to commemorate the anniversary of the first passengers arriving by train 122 years ago in November of 1886. In earlier days, this was a "homecoming" celebration when members of the community, past and present, would gather to reminisce and visit with family and friends. Recently, the Historic Society revived this tradition with an Old-Fashioned Pie Social.
This year, we are keeping the tradition of a free slice of pie and some cider to all our friends who visit. We are expanding the event to include entertainment, displays of art by our Elementary School students, a display of vintage tractors and cars, a petting zoo, pony rides for the kids, and a craft fair where handmade crafts from local merchants will be for sale.
For more information, email us at info@templetonchamber.com. If you are interested in sponsorship information, please see our Sponsorship Request. Vendors interested in having a booth or table at the Founder’s Day event should review and complete the Vendor Application Form and return it no later than November 7th.
