October 4, 2013

Please join us in 2013 for a pre-ride party at Wild Horse Winery. Meet fellow riders while enjoying a great catered dinner, Wild Horse Winery wine and music. John Patrick Images will be available to take professional photos to commemorate the evening.

The cost for the party is only $35 per person and pre-registration is required!  Due to space limitations at Wild Horse, the Bike Bash Party is limited to the first 200 who sign up and this event has sold out early every year.  You MUST sign up for the Bike Bash party when you register for the ride.  Please note, you cannot go back to register for the Bike Bash party after you have completed your registration via Active.com.  You MUST sign up for the Bike Bash party at the same time.

History

The ride first began in 2002 and was originally named the Spring 50's Bike Ride. That year, 50 riders enjoyed a scenic ride through Templeton and the surrounding areas. When they returned, they were delighted to find that in addition to the wonderful tri-tip BBQ lunch, Marta Zielonko, the Chamber's former President, had brought several bottles of her own wine and purchased roses for each of the women riders. The wine and the roses were such a hit, it was decided to rename the event the Wine & Roses Bike Ride.  Each year, the ride has increased by approximately 50 riders, and in 2005 we had 196 participants, with almost 50% coming from outside the area. We have been told by many riders that this event is one of their favorites because of the beautiful scenery and the relaxing atmosphere after the ride.
